Year 2 Term 2 2021
Welcome back to school for Term 2. I hope you all had a restful holiday with your family and are ready to start our second term of the year.
Uniform
This term, students are reminded to wear their winter uniform. There is a two week change over period during which students are permitted to wear either summer or winter uniform. Full winter uniform needs to be worn from Week 3 onwards. Please ensure that all items of clothing are clearly named. A reminder also to name lunch boxes and drink bottles.
Healthy snack
We have noticed some wastage of food during Healthy Snack time. We have particularly noticed that some students are only taking one or two bites of an apple before disposing of it in our compost bin. Please ensure that your child has only a small piece of fruit or vegetable or a small sized apple to prevent this wastage. Students will take home any left-over food and packaging waste.
Homework
Formal homework and spelling will begin in Week 2. This week, students can read each night for homework.
As per last term, students will be expected to complete their homework by Friday. Please write me a note or send an email if your child is unable to complete their homework by Friday.
Kind regards
